The UEA Music Centre features a suite of eight Practice Rooms, which are available for UEA students to use for individual and small ensemble practice. All rooms have pianos (Yamaha U1, U3 or G5 grand piano) and music stands. Access hours are 08:00-22:00, seven days a week, excluding customary and statutory holidays. Please note that the Practice Rooms will be closed very occasionally (approx. 5 times a year) for piano maintenance and auditions.

Membership is for the 2025-26 academic year (15 September 2025 to 13 September 2026). However, please note the rooms are only for current students and staff. Therefore, if you are graduating before September 2026, your membership will cease when you graduate. 

The UEA Music Centre Practice Room fees for the 2025-26 academic year are:

• UEA Staff (Full Price): £27 per year 
• UEA Student (Full Price): £17 per year 
• UEA Staff (Concession - UEA Choir, Community Choir, Chamber Choir or Symphony Orchestra member): £13.50 per year
• UEA Student (Concession - UEA Choir, Community Choir, Chamber Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Music Society, Music Production Society, Drama and Musical Theatre Society or Showchoir member): £8.50 per year 

Please ensure that you provide a valid UEA student/staff number, when applying to use the Practice Rooms, as your card details will be used to validate your campus card, to access the facilities. Please note that this scheme is not open to anyone external to the UEA.

Once we have received your payment and validated your student/staff status, you will receive an email confirming that you can start using the facilities (this may take up to 7 days).
